Guy Chambers’ popular night of 21st century cabaret returns to Floripa with Spektrum,Farhan Mannan, Guy Chambers, Reets One, Bruno Charles, Helena Jesele and Ross Clarke.
The four-piece Spektrum bring a smooth blend of Punk, Soul, Electronica and Disco to the Orgasmatron stage, exemplifying the spirit of genre bending, no boundary music, that the Orgasmatron embodies. Their newest single, “Robo-Cops and Flip-Flops” has been gathering attention in the music world with radio play from Sister Bliss and support from the likes of Eric Morillo and Groove Armada.

Beyond Spektrum the Orgasmatron will dive into the popping, twisting, bleeping world of Beat-Boxing with Reeps one. Not only the 2009 and 2010 UK Beatbox Champion, but also the 2009 World Finalist, Reeps One is among the best in the worldwide beatboxing scene. Before he came into the world of beatboxing his bass frequencies were previously unheard of emerging from the human mouth. Reeps One will be a truly unique sound experience.

After the Orgasmatron shares it’s fill of mouth created bass frequencies, the cool, calm and collected Bruno Charles will come in to smooth things out. His sweet, neo-soul, sound is undeniably relaxing and entertaining. Recently playing Ronnie Scotts, and a booking at Bestival 2012, Bruno Charles is moving on up. In a recent Facebook post he writes “…the girl at Pret(A Manger) just gave me a free hot chocolate for being “rock and roll”. Can he really be doing all that much wrong?

This month the founder of the Orgasmatron, Guy Chambers, will be bringing Soul, Funk and Psychadelic covers originally performed by Sly Stone, of Sly and The Family Stone. With uncountable musical credits to his name, Guy Chambers knowledge and abilities stretch from the musical past to the musical present. He is the heart and soul of the Orgasmatron.

It’s hard to ignore Helena Jesele’s good looks, she’s stunning, but it’s even harder to ignore the beautiful composition of her music. Born in Manchester, but raised in Dublin, Helena grew up on soul, and her music is a beautiful reflection of her childhood. Her sound is reminiscent of 60’s soul, beautiful vocals over tight and light instrumentation. Helena Jesele represents the sound of yesterday with a perfect touch of the present. She has become well regarded in the Ronnie Scott, Jazz aficionado, world of London, for choosing real instruments over virtual ones. Her music will be sure to pump the Orgasmatron full of rhythm and blues.
